The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is dramatically impacting people and business operations throughout Maryland. In order to combat its deadly and destructive spread, we are offering essential indoor sanitization services to help protect people in offices and buildings.

Pristine Inc is using an efficient and effective approach toward sanitizing surfaces: Sanitization Spray Fogging. This process is used by many leading organizations and is a commonly used application to disinfect aircraft, health care facilities and emergency response vehicles. How does it work?

Sanitization Spray Fogging (SSF) is a process where cleaning and sanitizing chemicals are applied via an atomizing fogger over and on interior surfaces.  This process is extremely efficient as the fogging/mist covers areas quickly vs. traditional wiping methods of cleaning.  Fogging is incredibly effective as the chemicals are evenly distributed over large areas so spots that are typically missed by hand cleaning are instead covered.  This process is also very safe as the chemicals we spray leave no significant lasting residues or effects after appropriate drying times.

We utilize chemical registered with the EPA (71847-6) that appears on EPA list: N (EPA’s Registered Antimicrobial Products for Use Against Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the Cause of COVID-19)

What is involved in the sanitization process?

The sanitization process is pretty straightforward:

1.  We briefly discuss the areas that you would like to have sanitized

2.  Our technicians will arrive and gear up with required personal protection equipment (PPE)

3.  Any necessary safety measures will be taken (signage, cones, barrier tape, etc.

4.  The discussed areas will be thoroughly fogged to ensure complete coverage of the sanitization solution.

5.  Once the solution has dried, any “hot spots” or delicate materials will be wiped down.

6.  All safety equipment will then be removed, and our technicians will clean up their PPE and gear.

7.  You will then be given access back to the areas that have been sanitized. If you have any respiratory health issues, we recommend extending the time until re-entry.

8.  We recommend utilizing a soft rag to wipe down any sensitive surfaces but that is not required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is SSF safe for electronics?  YES.  The fogging process emits chemicals at such a microscopic level that electronics will not be adversely impacted.

Are there any areas that will be damaged by the fogging?  NO.  The fogging process is a safe application of chemical. It is no more concerning than applying disinfectant spray that you would use yourself at home. The chemicals that we have selected to use are on the EPA and CDC approval lists.  They are safe for all common woods, fabrics, metals, plastics, electronics, and papers.  We recommend utilizing a soft rag to wipe down any sensitive surfaces after treatment/dry time but that is not required.

What kind of spaces can you sanitize?  We can sanitize just about any interior space: offices, breakrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, reception areas.  Any area that involves human interaction should be sanitized.

How long will it take to treat my office? It depends on the size of the space, but it is much faster and more effective than conventional means of disinfecting by hand.

Who is using this type of service?  Any company or facility that continues to have people present in buildings.  We are currently working with local governments, business owners, property managers, and schools.  If you are concerned about the health, wellbeing, and peace of mind of your employees/tenants, spray fogging is an excellent option.

What does the science say about disinfecting interior surfaces?

Disinfectants are effective in deactivating coronaviruses on indoor surfaces. The transmission of viral respiratory pathogens such as COVID-19 can be minimized by thorough and complete application of an EPA-registered disinfectant per the manufacturer’s instructions.

It’s not good for you and your staff to be constantly be applying disinfectants yourselves, as they can cause pulmonary and asthma issues over the long term.

The new coronavirus is stable for hours on surfaces. Most secondary cases of virus transmission of SARS-CoV2 appear to be occurring in community settings rather than healthcare settings.
